Every company has its own unique reasons for supporting others. At Leyadoll, our purpose is to help spread joy and happiness throughout our communities.
During the holiday season, we recognize that it can be a particularly challenging time for many families. Not everyone has the financial, physical, or emotional capacity to give their loved ones the gifts they hope for and deserve.
This is what led us to donate our dolls to Made by Momma; a phenomenal charity doing meaningful work within our community. Based in Calgary, Alberta, this charity provides various kinds of support to mothers with small children experiencing periods of adversity.
Made by Momma supports these families in many ways. Some of these include: making home cooked meals for families, providing maternity clothes and essential baby items, in-home assistance, and even supplying home cooked frozen meals for the NICU & Pediatric Units at PLC and the NICU unit at SHC for families.

Because of this, we decided to donate 40 of our Christmas Themed Dolls; 20 of our Personalized Natalie the Elf Dolls and 20 of our Personalized Christmas Baby Girl Dolls.
The day we delivered our dolls, we were amazed by how passionate Made by Momma’s volunteers were and how friendly they were.

As a result, we had the opportunity to donate some of our dolls to an incredible Calgarian charity, @Made by Momma. Made by Momma helps mothers with young children access the care and resources they need when facing adversity. From nutritious homemade meals to essential goods and support, Made by Momma has been bettering the lives of those their community for over 16 years. Although the holiday season is wrapping up soon, it’s never too late to help out those in your community. Find a cause you’re passionate about and donate a moment of your time. Their staff helped us bring all of our 40 dolls into their building. They then proceeded to give us a tour of their pantry; where all their food donations are stored.
We even had the opportunity to meet Allyson Palaschuk, the Founding Member & Current Volunteer President of Made by Momma. Despite her extremely busy schedule, she made the time to greet us, share her story, and give us a tour.
Made by Momma is a remarkable charity made up of hardworking and dedicated volunteers. We are so fortunate to have had the opportunity to donate our dolls and help them bring a smile to the families they serve.
