Leyadoll’s Final Expo of the Year: Lethbridge’s City & Baby Trade Show!
As previously mentioned in our Bump, Babe, and Beyond expo blog, October was a huge month for our North American team.
So far, during the month of October, we attended our first ever expo (did we mention that it was out of town) and hosted a joint event with beaners fun cuts (this event was eight months in the making).
And now, here we are at our final event of the year, Lethbridge’s City & Baby Trade Show.
I can’t wait to share all the details about this event. After compiling all the learnings from this last month together, we managed to create an experience that was like no other.
So, without further ado, here is the story about our experience at the City & Baby Trade Show!
Similar to our expo in Regina, Marisa arrived the day before to prepare materials. When she arrived in Lethbridge, she was immediately taken by how beautiful the drive was. For families who have never been to Lethbridge, Alberta, Canada, this road is well-known.
Right when you begin to enter into the city, a gorgeous old-fashioned railway bridge appears to your right. This train bridge is 96 feet tall and absolutely surreal to gaze upon. In addition to that, the valley beneath it is made up of lush yet rocky terrain. Lethbridge is truly breathtaking!
The City & Baby Trade Show took place at Excite, Lethbridge’s convention center. Again, similar to the drive into Lethbridge, this building was surrounded by a beautiful landscape.

On Saturday morning, Marisa woke up early to get everything set-up. Vendors were asked to prepare their booth the morning of the event. This was lots of fun!
Vendors showed up right at 8am to begin their set-up. The room was filled with talented small business owners who were passionate about bettering the lives of the families in their community.
Due to this expo’s layout, our booth set up was different. Back in Regina, Marisa created an open booth concept; families were able to walk into the space. However, in Lethbridge, all the tables had to be horizontal.
At first, Marisa was a bit hesitant because she was worried she wouldn’t be able to connect with attendees like she did in Regina. But, to her surprise, she was able to build even more connections with those around her.
The City & Baby Trade Show started at 10am and families flooded in right away. Our dolls were flying off the shelves!
This expo was unique in the sense that it offered more locally made products than Regina. Families who stopped by our booth were interested in learning more about our story. They wanted to hear about our dolls, what inspired them, and learn more about our team.
It was incredible to answer their questions and learn more about their lives. Many of the families who visited our booth were expecting and new moms, their friends and families, and even other small business owners!
The energy of this expo was so warm and welcoming. The organizers of the expo were a pleasure to work with and very thoughtful. One of them even dimmed the lights in the convention hall because she didn’t want to overstimulate the new babies and children who would be attending.
How sweet!
Overall, our experiences at the City & Baby Trade Show and during October in general, were extremely memorable. If you would have told our team that we would be traveling across Canada and meeting hundreds of new families by this time, none of us would have believed it.
As we begin to wrap up our busiest time of the year, we want to thank you, our lovely Leyadoll Family, for supporting us.
2026 has been a remarkable year for us here at Leyadoll and we can’t wait to see what 2027 will look like thanks to all your love and support.
Until Next Time,
Marisa from the team at Leyadoll
