my Granddaughter loves to put something on her face when sleeping. Of course, you would get nervous with her putting a blanket over her face, so I thought maybe the doll she could get the same feel. I wouldn't have to worry......wow, not only did it work, but she became attached to it Immediately. I wanted to order a second doll to keep at my house, so I placed an order but chose the Rosie Doll instead. I'm sure, (hoping) she becomes just as attached.
