I thought it was embroidered on. Very disappointed and the piece of material for the skirt that made up the dress on the doll was so thin you could see through it.
However the doll itself was pretty to look at.
I certainly would not buy another one of these dolls.

Costumer service was excellent! We had a postal strike in Canada during the Xmas holidays. I did receive my parcel late due to our postal strike. But costumer service reassured that the parcel was shipped and where it was located. My grandkids love their dolls. So cute and cuddly.
