Recently, our Leyadoll team has received feedback about how our dolls have been helping and comforting elderly individuals living with dementia.

We want to share these experiences with care and respect. Every journey with dementia is deeply personal and unique, and we are mindful that what brings comfort can vary from person to person. We are simply grateful to hear from families and caregivers who have shared their experiences with us.

Dolls can sometimes have a calming and grounding effect for those who experience memory loss or confusion. Holding something soft and familiar can help ease feelings of anxiety and restlessness.

For some individuals living with dementia, dolls may also offer a sense of routine and gentle purpose. They can provide something to care for through simple actions like holding, dressing, or gently interacting with them. These moments can sometimes feel soothing and familiar, and may offer a sense of connection when verbal communication becomes more difficult.

Although our dolls are created as companions for children, it has meant a great deal to our team to hear that they are being embraced in these unexpected and meaningful ways. It is heartwarming to know that something designed with care and love for one group may also bring comfort to others.

We are honoured that families and caregivers have taken the time to share these experiences with us, and we are grateful for the opportunity to learn from their stories.

Kindly,

Leyadoll Team
